"Here's a winery that epitomizes what Sonoma County is all about ... the Sebastiani family unpretentiously produces great wine at a fair price," says Wine Spectator.
Enjoy the latest chapter – the family’s sumptuous 2006 Sonoma Cabernet.
Samuele Sebastiani arrived from Tuscany in 1895 with the clothes on his back and wine in his blood. He soon started hauling stones from Sonoma to pave San Francisco’s streets.
By 1904 he had saved enough to build his original – stone – winery. Over the next 100 years the family built an enviable reputation for quality and value. Those first ‘Sonoma Stones’ are remembered in this full-bodied red. A long, late summer took the grapes to maximum ripeness for a classic Cabernet that is a fitting tribute to one of the founding fathers of Sonoma wine.
Intense black cherry aromas with hints of cigar box and mocha thanks to patient aging in fine US oak. Silky texture, with long flavors of raspberry, cocoa and vanilla. Delicious now. Years to go. 14% Vol. Enjoy to 2015.
